Yet another fight has been added to UFC on Fox 7, as welterweight bangers Dan Hardy and Matt Brown agree to fight in April.

The news was announced by the UFC today.

A fan-favourite due to his personality as well as his fighting skills, Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy will go down in the history books as the first ever British fighter to compete for a UFC title. A terrible losing streak, that saw Hardy drop defeats to the likes of Carlos Condit, Chris Lytle, Anthony Johnson and champion Georges St.Pierre, was ended last year after he defeated Duane Ludwig by knockout in the first round.

He was last seen in September at UFC on Fuel TV 5, where he defeated Amir Sadollah by decision in Nottingham.

Like Hardy, Matt “The Immortal” Brown was on the verge of being released by the UFC. Brown lost four out of five fights against such men as Chris Lytle, Seth Baczynski, Brian Foster and Ricardo Almeida, before he turned things around.

Now the owner of an impressive four-fight winning streak; Brown scored, quite possibly, the biggest win of his career to date – knocking out Mike Swick in the second round of their fight in December.

UFC on Fox 7 will see a lightweight title fight of epic proportions, as Benson Henderson takes on Strikeforce kingpin Gilbert Melendez.
