A heavyweight fight has been added to this April’s Finale of The Ultimate Fighter 17 as Gabriel Gonzaga looks set to take on Travis Browne.

Looking to continue his good form since his return to the UFC, Gabriel Gonzaga (14-6-0) will be keen to climb the heavyweight ranks once more. A former title challenger, he was released in 2010 following back to back defeats however was brought back early last year. A former Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, Gonzaga has some of the best grappling in all of mixed martial arts and also possesses knockout power in all of his strikes.

Now fully healed up after an injury suffered in his last fight, Travis Browne (13-1-1) will be hoping to return to the win column after suffering the first loss of his career. He is one of the best strikers in the division as well as one of the hardest hitters. One of the things that seperates him from other heavyweights is his superb footwork – which sees him move around the cage like a welterweight. Browne has eleven career finishes to his name, with nine coming by (T)KO and two by submission.

The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale is expected to take place from The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada.
