Marcelo Guimaraes vs. Dan Stittgen – UFC on Fuel 4
A welterweight fight between newcomer Marcelo Guimaraes and Dan Stittgen is to be added to UFC on Fuel TV 4.
The news was announced by MMAJunkie today, who stated that sources have confirmed that both men have verbally agreed to the bout.
Undefeated in professional competition, Marcelo Guimaraes (7-0-1) has competed in the Jungle Fight promotion for his last six bouts, winning them all convincingly.
He has beaten such fighters as Lucas Rota, Ivan Galaz and Erik Becker. His fight with Stittgen will be his first under the UFC banner.
Dan “The Anvil” Stittgen (7-2-0) made his UFC debut in February, losing to Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson by a first-round head kick knockout. This was just the second loss to date, his first coming against Justin Edwards in IFC promotion.
Stittgen, who is from the Midwest Training Center, is well versed on the floor, with five of his wins coming by way of submission.
The event will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman.
