A middleweight fight has been announced as the UFC 159 co-main event this April as Michael Bisping looks set to take in Alan Belcher.

Looking to bounce back from a second round knockout defeat earlier this month, Michael Bisping (23-5-0) will be keen to make a quick return to winning ways. Since winning The Ultimate Fighter back in 2006 he has become one of the biggest stars in the promotion and has defeated many of the world’s best. Bisping has an excellent stand up games and has one of the best gas tanks in the sport at any weight class. He has great wrestling a jiu-jitsu however he utilises these mostly to keep a fight on the feet. He has eighteen finishes to his name with fourteen coming by (T)KO and four by submission.

Looking to get back into the win column also, Alan Belcher (18-7-0) will want to earn the victory desperately. Prior to his defeat at the hands of Yushin Okami last month at UFC 155, Belcher was on a four fight win streak dating back to 2009. He has some of the best striking skills in the division and also possesses some superb grappling skills. Belcher has sixteen stoppages to his name with nine coming by (T)KO and seven by submission.

UFC 159 takes pace 27th April from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and is expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.
