OMMAC 17: High Octane Preview
This Saturday, one of the top British mixed martial arts (MMA) promotions, OMMAC, returns for its seventeenth promotional event, OMMAC 17: High Octane, which takes place from the Olympia in Liverpool.
The OMMAC 17: High Octane fight card has had to undergo a few changes in the past few weeks but the finalised card still promises to deliver one of the best evenings of MMA action. Recently signed Bellator lightweight Martin “50 Cal” Stapleton, was to make his final appearance on the OMMAC promotion against Alexei Roberts, but unfortunately an injury resulted in Stapleton being pulled from the fight. Then, as fate would have it, Uche Ihiekwe original opponent Christian Holley sustained a injury and so he too had to be pulled from the card. This means that Uche Ihiekwe will now fight Alexei Roberts on the main card of OMMAC 17. The featherweight fight that also featured on the main card between Saul Rogers and Jason Ball was also scrapped but now a bantamweight fight takes its place between Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett and Mike Cutting.
The OMMAC 17: High Octane event is headlined by two of the UK’s top middleweights, Lee Chadwick and Denniston Sutherland, for the OMMAC British Middleweight Title. The co-main event features another title fight between Shay Walsh and Andrew Fisher for the OMMAC British Featherweight Title.
