Roger Gracie and Tim Kennedy set for UFC debuts this July
A pair of former Strikeforce fighters will face off this July as Roger Gracie looks set to take on Tim Kennedy on a yet to be announced event this July.
This bout was originally announced to take place at UFC on FX 8 this May in Brazil however it is now set to take place this July in Las Vegas.
A member of the legendary Gracie family, Roger Gracie (6-1-0) looks to cement his place in the promotion his family member Royce helped create. One of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners on the planet, Gracie has done it all in the grappling world. He is a multiple time world champion and his striking game is developing all the time. He has finished all but one of his career fights by submission.
A former title challenger in the now defunct Strikeforce, Tim Kennedy (15-4-0) will look to get off to winning ways in his new home and start climbing the rankings towards title contention in this promotion. A serving member in the US special forces, Kennedy brings with him some superb skills is all areas of the sport. Not one to usually allow fights to go to the judges, Kennedy has stopped thirteen of his opponents.
