An explosive welterweight contest could be heading to London’s Wembley Arena this February as rumours have surfaced stating that Dan Hardy could be set to take on Siyar Bahadurzada.

Although all still rumours and nothing is in place that we know about yet, Bahadurzada did comment on it to Brazilian based Tatame.com.

“It’s just rumour, but if Hardy accepts, I’d love to fight him in his yard,” Bahadurzada said. “It would be an interesting fight, though I think I am a terrible struggle for him. He [would] not survive the first round.”

The Afghan fighter, who made his UFC debut last year, would certainly make for an entertaining matchup for Hardy seeing that both men love to exchange of the feet. Bahadurzada is currently on seven fight win streak which is over four years long and made an immediate impact in the UFC when he knocked Paulo Thiago out cold in just 42 seconds this past April.

Nottingham’s Dan Hardy is currently in a mini revival after losing four straight in the promotion. He has claimed victory in both of his past two fights; firstly he knocked out Duane Ludwig in May before claiming a unanimous decision victory back in September in his home town.

Again although this fight remains rumour for the minute, should it come to fruition it will likely serve as either the main or co-main event of UFC on Fuel TV 7 which takes place on 16th February from London’s Wembley Arena.
