The first fight for next year’s UFC on Fuel 8 has been made as Stefan Struve takes on Mark Hunt in Japan in March in a bout that was scheduled to take place last May at UFC 146.

Stefan “The Skyscraper” Struve (25-5-0) is one of the heavyweight division’s most active and most exciting fighters. In his nearly four years as a UFC fighter he has competed twelve times and in every performance left fans happy. He is the promotion’s tallest fighter and is able to use his height and length to his advantage and this allows him to work his submission and striking games well. His last contest saw him stop the previously undefeated Stipe Miocic with strikes inside of two rounds.

New Zealander Mark Hunt (8-7-0) is one of, if not the most improved and rejuvenated fighters in mixed martial arts today. He was signed to the UFC back in 2010 in rather strange circumstances seeing that he was on a five fight losing streak dating back to 2006. He was defeated in his debut by Sean McCorkle but since then has looked a different fight. He still possesses all the knockout power which he made his name on however is a much better-rounded mixed martial artist. His last contest saw him stop the extremely tough Chieck Kongo in just over two minutes.

UFC on Fuel 8 takes place on the 3rd of March from the Saitama Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
