A fight that will likely see the winner earn top contender status in the featherweight division has been added to this July’s UFC 162 as Chan Sung Jung takes on Ricardo Lamas.

After sitting on the side-lines since his fight of the year contender performances in his win against Dustin Poirier last May, Chan Sung Jung (13-3-0) looks to pick up right where he left off. ‘The Korean Zombie’ is undefeated in the UFC and his three fight stint in the promotion is already filled with historical and highlight reel moments.

Since coming to the UFC two years ago, Ricardo Lamas (13-2-0) has looked phenominal. He is on a four fight win streak in the promotion and is considered by many to be the best featherweight not named Jose Aldo. He was overlooked for the next shot at the champion last month when Anthony Pettis was preferred but a victory in this fight will more than likely get him his shot.

UFC 162 takes place 6th July from the MGM Grand Garden Arena and is expected to be headlined by a middleweight title fight as Anderson Silva defends his title against the undefeated Chris Weidman.
