UFC 214 is slated to feature three championship bouts, with the light heavyweight, welterweight and women’s featherweight titles all to be contested

The July 29th event, set to emanate from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, will be headlined by Daniel Cormier(19-1) defending his UFC light heavyweight title against former champion Jon Jones(22-1), with reigning champion Cormier looking to avenge a unanimous decision loss to Jones in their first outing in January 2013 which remains the only defeat in his career

In what will likely serve as second-from-the-top on the main card of UFC 214, welterweight champion Tyron Woodley(17-3-1) has signed to make the second defence of his title against first-ranked challenger Demian Maia(25-6), with the Brazilian challenger currently riding a seven fight winning streak

In the third championship bout Christiane Santos(17-1-1NC) and Tonya Evinger(19-5-1NC) will collide in a bout to crown a new UFC women’s featherweight title, with most recent champion Germaine de Randamie having been stripped of the title due to her refusing to defend the title against Santos

Megan Anderson was originally set to face Santos for the title, however on June 27th Anderson withdrew from the bout due to undisclosed reasons and was replace by Evinger who will also be making her UFC debut having been signed from Invicta FC
