Although it is still six months away, OMMAC 18 now has its main event in place as newly crowned lightweight champion Tim Newman defends his title against Martin Stapleton.

After replacing an injured Stapleton to receive a title shot in the first place, Tim Newman (10-3-0) put in a superb performance to take home the title. Despite not being able to put in a full training camp for the fight, Newman impressed over three rounds and took home the title by unanimous decision. Newman is a tough all-rounder and has finished six opponents.

Fresh off his victory in the Cage Contender Fight Stars tournament, which saw him defeat three men in the same night, Martin Stapleton (12-1-0) will be eager to capture the title which he would have been competing for last night had an injury not ruled him out. As a former marine he is incredible tough and has superb cardio and his skills on the feet and the ground are excellent.

OMMAC 18 takes place 7th September from The Olympia in Liverpool, England.
