UCMMA 28 took place tonight. Live from the Troxy in London, the card was headlined by a welterweight bout between Jamaine Facey and middleweight champion Jake Bostwick. Here are the results.

There was a few pull-outs leading up to the event, yet Dave O’Donnell and co still managed to put on an excellent show. Danny Welsh stood in for an injured Nathan Beer to face Ashleigh Grimshaw for the featherweight title, whilst an injury to Tommy Maguire put an end to a lightweight fight with Curt Warburton.

In his first fight at 170lbs, Jake Bostwick made a huge statement by finishing Facey in the first round with a knockout and gaining the welterweight belt.. Will he stay at welterweight and vacate his middleweight strap? It’s very possible.

Grimshaw also managed to finish his opponent; forcing Danny Welsh to tap with a rear-naked choke. Cory Tait returned to the win column by dispatching of Husyin Garabet, again by rear-naked choke; whilst Paul Taylor makes an argument for a heavyweight title shot by knocking out the much bigger Scott Saward in just 33 seconds.
