Take a look at all the bonus winners, attendance and live gate numbers from last night’s UFC 149: Faber vs. Barao event from Calgary, Canada.

Headlined by a title fight for the interim bantamweight belt, Renan Barao set himself up with a future date with Dominick Cruz by shutting out Urijah Faber for five whole rounds. Using his striking skills and takedown defence, Barao completed his metamorphous from exciting prospect to champion in an impressive manner.

In the co-main event, Hector Lombard failed to live up to the hype bestowed upon him in his UFC debut by dropping a spit decision to Tim Boetsch after three rather lacklustre rounds. Boetsch did well in avoiding any wild exchanges on the feet but the bout was booed throughout by fans in attendance.

Let’s take a look at the bonus winners.

Bonus Winners

Fight of the Night: Bryan Caraway vs. Mitch Gagnon

Submission of the Night: Matt Riddle (vs. Chris Clements)

Knockout of the Night: Ryan Jimmo (vs. Anthony Perosh)

The bonus winners were all awarded $65,000 cheques for their efforts in the octagon. The fight of the night award went to both Bryan Caraway and Mitch Gagnon for their entertaining tussle. Gagnon had a lot of success early on but was taken down in the third round and finished by Caraway via a rear-naked choke.

The only submission finish on the whole event, Matt Riddle managed to grab hold of a standing arm-triangle choke before landing a trip takedown and finishing the move on the mat.

Ryan Jimmo wasted no time in announcing his arrival to the UFC by knocking out Anthony Perosh in just seven seconds. A huge right hand landed behind “The Hippo’s” ear which left him unconscious immediately.

Live Gate & Attendance

It was announced during the post-fight press conference by Dana White that 16,089 fans filled up the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary for UFC 149, giving a live gate of $4.1 million.

This makes a record for the venue for a live event, a record previously held by legendary group The Rolling Stones.
