The UK’s largest and first independent Mixed Martial Arts exhibition, UK MMA Expo has had to change it’s date to July 20th and 21st, just two weeks after the initial planned date after receiving advice from the UFC’s American office.

The UK MMA Expo, which is to be held at the EventCity in Trafford, Manchester, was originally set to take place on the 6th and 7th July, 2013. Although not officially announced, this change of date is due to it’s potential clash with the UFC Las Vegas Fan Expo and very possibly the UFC Fighter’s Summit, which are still to be officially announced, but are rumoured to take place early July in Las Vegas.

The UK MMA Expo also recently announced that UK UFC fighter Che Mills has just revealed the designs for his new fight shorts for his upcoming UFC bout on February 16th against Matt Riddle in London, England, sporting the UK MMA Expo Logo. Che will also be doing a training seminar at the Expo in Manchester as well as being available for fighter signings and photo session for fans.

Other names also confirmed to be taking part at the UK MMA Expo are UK MMA Pioneer and former UFC fighter Ian “The Machine” Freeman, who will be conducting a training seminar and signing, and UFC referee Marc Goddard, who will be running a referee/judges training course on the Sunday as well as a rules and intro to referee/judging Q&A on the Saturday of the UK MMA Expo.

Another great announcement for the UK MMA Expo is that they will be hosting the Open British Grappling Championships, being run by the UMA, who have over eight years of experience in organising Grappling Tournaments in the UK. UMA British Open ‘No Gi’ Grappling and ‘No Gi’ Groundfighting Championships. This will be sponsored by UKMatz.com.
