A major middleweight bout has been signed for UFC 210, as Gegard Mousasi will face Chris Weidman at the April 8th New York event

The middleweight fight will be a fourth-ranked versus fifth-ranked affair, with Dutchman Mousasi looking to extend his winning streak to five, while American Weidman will be looking to break a two fight losing streak

Iranian-born Mousasi, thirty one, is coming off a TKO win over Uriah Hall last time out, and with a win over Weidman would likely be next in line for a 185lbs title fight sometime later in the year

Former divisional champion Weidman, thirty two, will be looking to rebound from two consecutive stoppage loses and improve on his number four ranking position and get back into title contention by beating a fellow top ten ranked fighter

Mousasi has amassed an overall mixed martial arts record of 41-6-2 since debuting in 2003, while Weidman current holds an overall mixed martial arts record of 13-2 since making his debut in 2009

UFC 210 takes place on April 8th, and will emanate from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York
